services
Thrivespace provides psychotherapy and psychological assessments, both in person and online.
psychotherapy
Oftentimes people seek therapy when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, experience high levels of relational conflict, or simply “what worked before” is no longer working.
Therapy is a safe space to work through these painful experiences and develop insight and new ways of relating. Our hope is that we will work to help you experience your true self. To help you find a space of healing, wholeness and thriving.
In therapy, we will sit and talk one-on-one in a confidential, no-pressure space at our Newport Beach office. Sessions are held on a weekly basis or, in some cases, multiple times per week.
Our therapy process provides a unique opportunity to re-experience and heal your relational wounds and sufferings in a new relationship. We'll see them in a new way, make connections between your past and present, and foster insight into the way you relate to yourself and others. This growth often depends on the development of a healthy and attuned therapeutic relationship where you and the therapist work together to foster insight, help you take risks, and ultimately experience relationships and oneself in a new, more genuine way.
psychological assessment
Psychological Assessment is a service that involves the use of research validated tests and tools in an effort to better understand an individual’s internal world and answer a specific question about that individual’s daily experience. This often includes gaining a deeper understanding of one’s personality, mental health/well-being, or diagnosis. We’ll typically do a combination of an information gathering session, testing sessions and then a feedback session.
Psychological assessment can be a helpful way to better understand yourself and relationships, receive tailored direction on steps toward health and healing, or even deepen your current therapeutic process.
Thrivespace is unique in that we tailor our assessment process to the individual and the specific questions being addressed. Therefore, every assessment is unique to each client, allowing us to offer more efficient, relevant, and purposeful feedback .
Thrivespace also offers assessment for clergy/ministry workers. Typically this assessment is for individuals applying for or currently working in a ministry role. The process includes information gathering and testing sessions that address questions related to the specific role and responsibilities of the ministry worker.
